  1. Totally agree! I'm in better shape now than in my 20s, and I plan to keep it that way! :)

  2. I feel better in my 40s than in my 30s! I think we train smarter though I do need to sleep more now and the recovery time is a little greater. I look forward to the decades to come. Still kickin'it hard and staying with the fight!

  3. I feel more energy now than in my 20 years old, to recover its easy, good sleep, get up in the morning and go to gym :)

  4. I so agree! I am much stronger now in my thirties. I work out harder, smarter and more consistently without all those 20-something type distractions like dollar bar night! Plus, I do it for different reasons, in my 20's it was all about the vanity. And I am having TONS more fun now!

  5. I agree too. Personally I think I'm training smarter then I used too. In my twenties I did competition karate and did every training thinking that harder is better which regularly led to overtraining. But since a few years I really started to listen to my body and started to train smarter. I really feel my body being stronger all the time creating durability. Also, huge plus, less (almost none) injuries!!! Back then constant soreness in joints, tendons etc. But sometimes, when I really try to maximise the effort, I do feel the recovery takes longer, especially muscle pains.

  6. I turn 40 this coming April. I am in better shape now than I have ever been in. Wisdom really does come with age. At 39, I train smarter, eat healthier, and listen to my body. When I workout, it becomes my Fortress of Solitude, unless I'm teaching BC. To me, there's nothing like putting in your skullcandy, cranking a sick playlist, and pushing yourself to greater things every time I step into the gym. I feel more empowered and focused than ever before, and to me...I see no limits and the best is yet to come!! As for recovery, listen to your body and you'll know what you need.
There have been some very influential people I've met along the way, and they have helped me to be the best I can be. To Josef, Rach, and SuperDan...you inspire me...can't wait for my workout tonight...
